Therapy that makes room for complexity

You do not need to fit neatly into a box to benefit from therapy.

People arrive at Healing Quest for many reasons: trauma that still shapes the present, anxiety that will not switch off, relationships that feel complicated, grief, emotional overwhelm, ADHD, neurodivergence, or simply the sense that something is not working anymore.

We take time to understand the whole picture rather than reducing your experience to a symptom list.

Therapy is collaborative and paced. Depending on your needs, that may include talking and reflection, EMDR, attachment-focused work, parts work, somatic awareness, nervous-system regulation, practical strategies, or simply having enough safety to begin making sense of what has happened.

Healing does not have to mean forcing yourself through what overwhelms you.
  • Trauma-informed and attachment-focused
  • Neurodiversity-affirming care
  • Relational and collaborative
  • Mind-body and nervous-system informed
  • Evidence-informed without being rigid
  • Paced around your capacity and goals
Counselling & assessment services

Areas where we do especially thoughtful work.

Our therapists bring different backgrounds and approaches, while sharing a commitment to trauma-informed, relational and individualized care.

Trauma Therapy & EMDR

Support for childhood trauma, complex trauma, relational trauma, painful memories, dissociation, hypervigilance and patterns that continue long after the original danger has passed.

Adult ADHD Assessment

Comprehensive adult ADHD assessment for people seeking greater clarity about attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation and lifelong patterns that may reflect ADHD.

ADHD & Neuro-Affirming Counselling

Therapy focused on understanding attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, overwhelm and neurodivergent experience without forcing people into approaches that do not fit.

Anxiety Counselling

Support when worry, panic, perfectionism, chronic tension, overthinking or emotional overwhelm are taking up too much room in your life.

Grief & Loss

Space for grief that feels complicated, persistent, traumatic or difficult to carry alone—without pressure to “move on.”

Attachment & Relational Therapy

Therapy for attachment wounds, relational patterns, conflict, disconnection and protective strategies that can make closeness difficult.

Our approach

Therapy is more than collecting coping skills.

Coping tools can be useful. But sometimes you already know what you are “supposed” to do and still find yourself overwhelmed, shut down, anxious, disconnected, or repeating patterns you understand intellectually.

That is why our work often goes beyond symptom management.

We pay attention to the ways your experiences have shaped your nervous system, relationships, beliefs, protective strategies and sense of self. The goal is not to eliminate every uncomfortable feeling. It is to build greater capacity, flexibility and choice.

Understand Make sense of patterns instead of simply judging them.
Regulate Build capacity to stay present without becoming overwhelmed.
Process Work with painful experiences when your system is ready.
Reconnect Strengthen trust in yourself, your needs and your relationships.
What to expect

Good therapy should feel collaborative.

We start by understanding.

You do not need to arrive with the perfect explanation for what is wrong. We work together to understand what is happening and what you want from therapy.

We work at your pace.

Trauma therapy does not require jumping immediately into the hardest material. Stabilization, trust and capacity matter.

We adapt the work.

Different people need different things. Therapy may be reflective, experiential, structured, practical, somatic—or some combination.
