Cassandra Lee, MAPC, CCC

Hi, I’m Cassandra. I was born and raised in East Vancouver, British Columbia, to immigrant parents who came from China.

I am a compassion-based therapist that views individuals through an attachment and trauma-informed lens, fusing Western psychology with Spirituality in providing a client-centred approach.

I use tools from trauma-informed modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and am continuously pursuing further training in these approaches.

My goal is to establish a therapeutic relationship which is grounded in safety, confidentiality and trust.

Together we will explore with curiosity and compassion. My approach is warm, empathetic and relational and I offer a safe and non-judgmental space, validating your experience. I know how important safety is for growth and healing.

My earliest memories were living and playing in the Strathcona community and going for walks to Chinatown. We were the dominant culture within these boundaries, and I felt safe.

Like many children of immigrants, through primary and secondary school years I was exposed to racism and feeling not good enough, which followed me into adulthood.

I began finding some freedom in my 30’s with the reading of The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and more freedom in my 40’s when I discovered yoga and meditation.

It has since been a journey of joy, sorrow, and all the emotions that arise from being a human being!

I have since discovered the Ridge Meadows area and now spend most of my days living and playing with my spouse, Boston Terrier and teenage daughter.

I look forward to working with you!
